Andrews makes history, hosts student congress for three straight years
For the third consecutive year, Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus served as the host of the 43rd Student Congress, which formally opened on May 4 under the theme, “Carrying the Legacy: 43 Years of Leadership in Service of Excellence.”
The four-day annual gathering brought together around 220 student leaders and delegates from the nine campuses of Cagayan State University, reaffirming the university’s commitment to leadership, student empowerment, and collaborative governance.
Recognized as one of the university system’s biggest student leadership events, the Student Congress serves as a platform for discussing pressing student concerns, strengthening inter-campus solidarity, and advancing the values of accountability, service, and excellence among student leaders.
This year’s congress features plenary sessions, leadership forums, team-building activities, and policy discussions designed to enhance student participation and governance across the CSU system.
A highlight of the event is the election of a new set of University Student Council Federation (USCF) officers, who will serve as the official representatives of the student body across all CSU campuses.
