Capili wins top honors at 2025 ASEAN MedTech Research Competition

Dr. Julius T. Capili, the dean of the Graduate School and concurrent dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS), emerged as Champion in the Research Podium (Non-Experimental) Category at the prestigious 2025 ASEAN Association of Schools of Medical Technology (AASMT) Research Competition held on May 23–24 at Our Lady of Fatima University, Valenzuela Campus.
Dr. Capili’s research was selected as the best among entries submitted by leading academic and professional institutions across Southeast Asia, highlighting his commitment to advancing medical technology through evidence-based research and academic rigor.
His achievement not only reflects his personal excellence but also brings honor to the Cagayan State University and to the medical technology community.
The AASMT competition, one of the region’s most anticipated platforms for scholarly exchange in medical technology, aims to promote innovation, collaboration, and academic excellence among Southeast Asian institutions.
Dr. Capili’s victory affirms the Philippines’ growing influence in the regional medical research landscape and underscores the vital role of Filipino scientists and health professionals in shaping the future of healthcare in Asia.
