Louise Jessica E. Andam has been recognized as the Model ROTC Cadet of the Year 2025, an honor awarded during the recent Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI) held before the top leadership of the Philippine Army.

The event was attended by no less than Lieutenant General Roy M. Galido, Commanding General of the Philippine Army, and Major General Gulliver L. Señires, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division.

Andam, who stood out among her peers for exemplary performance, leadership, and commitment, described the experience as both humbling and deeply meaningful. “This recognition isn’t just mine,” she said. “It’s shared with my fellow cadets, my mentors who patiently guided me, and our entire training unit who stood by me every step of the way.”

Despite some challenges during the inspection, Andam emphasized the value of perseverance and unity among cadets. “Things didn’t go exactly as we hoped, and that was disappointing. But I’ve come to understand that these moments help us grow,” she reflected.
Receiving the award in the presence of the Army’s top brass served as a powerful reminder of the values instilled in the ROTC program: discipline, service, and integrity. “Their leadership reminds me to stay grounded and serve with a sincere heart,” Andam added.

Her recognition serves as a testament to the dedication of young cadets across the country who continue to uphold the standards of the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps and contribute to nation-building through military service and civic duty.
