“Search for Best Undergraduate Paper and Best Mentor Award”

Cagayan State University – Andrews Campus through its Campus Research and KTM Office, successfully hosted its premier research recognition event, the Search for Best Undergraduate Paper and Best Mentor Award, promoting scholarly rigor and honoring exceptional mentorship.
The program commenced with inspiring remarks from key university leaders:
• Atty. Carla Marie L. Sumigad, CPA – Campus Executive Officer
• Dr. Gilbert C. Magulod Jr., LPT – Director, KTMPO
• Engr. Junel B. Guzman, PhD – Vice President for RDE
• and Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado, Former President of CSU
The rationale was presented by Ms. Darlene Jully A. Caleda, MPH, Campus Research and KTM Coordinator, who also organized the event.
Undergraduate students presented their research in the Social, Experimental, and Technological categories. Each entry was independently delivered by student-researchers, while a panel of expert faculty evaluators, comprising the aforementioned officials, assessed them rigorously against established academic criteria.
All presenters received certificates and cash incentives. Outstanding papers were honored as Best Undergraduate Papers per category, while selected mentors were recognized with the Best Mentor Award, acknowledging their exemplary guidance and unwavering support.
